Best Spots for Outdoor Dining in DTR
It’s the first day of summer and we’re ready to enjoy our time dining outside in the sunshine! Here are some of our favorite places with patios and rooftops for an al fresco experience you don’t want to miss!
The Raleigh Times: The rooftop at the Times is where you want to be if you’re looking for an elevated experience for drinks and good eats! No worries if heights aren’t your thing, there is plenty of outdoor seating available on East Hargett Street. Plus you can bring your pups out here too! 14 E. Hargett St.
Morgan Street Food Hall: Can’t decide what or where to eat? Go somewhere that’s got something for everyone! Grab what you like from one of the more than 15 food vendors inside, then meet on the patio for an al fresco affair! 411 W. Morgan St.
The Mecca: Looking for an Instagrammable spot with classic and delicious diner foods? This one’s tried and true, and only open for breakfast and lunch. The Mecca is Raleigh’s oldest restaurant and they’ve got seats outside for you! Just look for the large neon sign and beautiful pink blooms draping the building and you’ll know you’re there! 13 E. Martin St.
Wye Hill: Cue the city views and cold brews! We recommend getting a patio rail reservation for this one so you can soak in the Raleigh skyline as you sip on a beer from their batch craft brewery and indulge in their delightful food. 201 S. Boylan Ave.
The Pit Authentic Barbecue: You might not know this one exists… The Pit has a secluded outdoor oasis you don’t want to miss! Their “Loading Dock” is a great spot for dining in tranquility surrounded by florals and greenery. If you prefer to be more in the action amongst the hustle and bustle of the city, then their front patio is meant for you! 328 W. Davie St.
