Downtown Raleigh, My Sweet Valentine

How much do we love living, working and hanging out in downtown Raleigh? Enough that this year, we’ve decided to make downtown Raleigh our sweet Valentine. What do we love about our beloved hometown? Here are 15 of our favorite things about downtown Raleigh:

• Hanging with Munjo inside Munjo Munjo

• Sampling wines from The Raleigh Wine Shop on the patio (bonus love points because we can bring the dog)

• Classes at Joy Worthy Co., specifically the ones that involve food!

• Walking to get our favorite green smoothie from Raleigh Raw

• Eating a sack lunch on a bench with a view of our favorite downtown Raleigh architectural building, the Capitol 

• Savoring a peppermint dark chocolate crunch bar from Videri

• The chicken and waffle at Flavor Hills Raleigh (we can’t resist the churro-flavored waffle!)

• Chicken Tinga Nachos from The Raleigh Times

• Pain au Chocolat from Lucette Grace (there’s nothing it can’t fix!)

• Seeing the latest blockbuster movie at Marbles IMAX theater. (Who’s in for “Dune: Part Two”?)

• Picking up fresh flowers from TG Floristry

• Girl dinners (gyoza and green salad) from Sono Sushi

• Endless strolling for gifts and greeting cards at Deco

• Reading the flyer wall at The Morning Times
