Downtown Raleigh (Taylor’s Version)

Are you ready for it? We know you’ve heard of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, but we’re going to give you a tour of Downtown Raleigh (Taylor’s Version). Here are our local picks to represent each of her albums!

  • Taylor Swift: We’ve heard every album and listened to the radio. If you’re waiting for something to come along that's as good as our song then head to Tin Roof for some live country music. There will be no teardrops on guitars, but rather a shared love for Tim McGraw, lots of cowgirl boots and our girl’s country roots. 300 Glenwood Ave.

  • Fearless: We think we know where you belong, we think we know it’s with us at the Alamo. We’re ready to watch a love story on the big screen, so just say, “yes” to come with us and enjoy the show. We don’t know how it could get much better than this. We’ll sneak out to the theater to see you and we’ll of course be in our best dress, fearless. 2116-D New Bern Ave.

  • Speak Now: Drop everything now. Meet us at the purple shimmer wall. You’ll see sparks fly whenever you see this mural in person. This night will be sparkling, don’t you let it go. We’ll be wonderstruck just like Taylor’s perfume when we see this marvelous wall. 500 S. McDowell St.

  • Red: When we see it all in our head, it’s burning NC State red. We know all too well that we’d be on campus with autumn leaves falling down and we can picture Taylor writing lyrics in the Court of Carolinas. We don’t know about you, but we’re feeling like we’re 22 and back in college again. 5 Current Dr.

  • 1989: Welcome to Downtown Raleigh, it’s been waiting for you. We keep cruising down Fayetteville St. and we won’t stop moving. We bet your memories of the City of Oaks will follow you around, even if it’s just in your wildest dreams. One thing we know for sure is Downtown Raleigh will never go out of style.

  • Reputation: Look what you made us do … We’ve got a list of names and the Raleigh Times Bar is in red, underlined. We can’t make any promises now, but the Times will at least be able to make you a drink. We've got mad love for them and all their newspapers. There will be no further explanation. There will just be reputation. 14 E. Hargett St.

  • Lover: It’s been a long time coming, but you have to take your lover to see the sunset at Wye Hill. If you have to cross the Boylan Bridge, be sure to cross it together (especially if it’s the very first bridge of the night #iykyk 😉). We promise that you’ll never find other city views like these! P.S. - Don’t be surprised if you end up drunk in the back of a car crying like a baby coming home from the bar. 201 S Boylan Ave

  • Folklore: We’ll be living for the hope of it all at Heights House. We’ll have a marvelous time living out our cottagecore dreams while thinking of the rumors from Inez. We love you to the moon and to Saturn, Heights House, but really, we’d go anywhere we want. Literally, anywhere we want, just not home. 308 S Boylan Ave.

  • Evermore: We know this is a champagne problem, but we had a speech for this one, and now we’re speechless. You booked the night train from Union Station for a reason. We’ll be right where you left us, but did you know that our train could take you home? 510 W. Martin St.

  • Midnights: Meet us at midnight at Watts & Ward. We’ll be under the market lights watching the stars twinkle while sipping on Taylor’s choice of cocktail when she watches the Chiefs play, a classic vodka cranberry. Grab your girls and get ready for one drink after another. And, by the way, we’re going out tonight (just in case that wasn’t already clear). 200 S. Blount St.
