DTR Retail Week
In honor of DTR Retail Week (which runs through Sunday, July 21), we’re sharing five of our favorite places to shop in downtown Raleigh, whether it’s holiday or birthday gifts or simply doing a little retail therapy.
If you can’t find a birthday gift for your BFF or significant other at Deco, we don’t know if you’re even trying. Quirky, fun and unexpected, Deco’s selection of whimsical gifts, crafts from local indy makers and Raleigh-centric items, from Hurricane’s gear to Raleigh-made food items, make Dego one of the region’s go-to shops. 207 S. Salisbury St.
Your blood pressure immediately drops when you step into the Self-Care Marketplace, a thoughtfully curated shop tucked away on Martin Street. They’ve got everything you can think of to ensure YOU are taking care of yourself, from bath salts and candles to apparel and jewelry. (Don’t forget to check out their classes and workshops!) Added bonus: 15 percent off all purchases during DTR Retail Week! 12 W. Martin St.
We love the surprises we find at Curate Downtown. This shop might be small but it is mighty, packed with crafts, gifts and trinkets from more than 60 local vendors. Give yourself plenty of time exploring this downtown Raleigh gem! 15 W. Hargett St.
We’ve fallen hard for all the new vintage shops that have opened downtown, particularly, one of the newest ones, Origami Styling, with its carefully edited selection of clothing and housewares. We also love that the shop is fully embracing DTR Retail Week. When you’re shopping at the vintage clothing and housewares shop, you’ll get 10 percent off when you mention DTR Retail Week. 111 E. Hargett St.
Copperline Plants is also embracing #DTRRetailWeek (and also happens to be one of our favorites in downtown Raleigh). Simply show that you’ve shopped at another DTR store and you’ll get 15 percent off your purchase of the gorgeous selection of plants at Copperline. Bonus: if you shop this Saturday or Sunday, check out the pop-up coffee cart from Cafecito Debelles. 23 W. Hargett St.
