Giving Thanks for DTR Thanksgiving Options

Whether you’re bringing the pie, calling in take-out for the whole meal or looking for reservations for 10, there are plenty of options for Thanksgiving meals in downtown Raleigh. Here are some of our favorite places to find some – if not all – of the fixin’s for Thanksgiving in downtown Raleigh.

  • The Pit Authentic Barbecue has been giving us reasons to hang up the apron on Thanksgiving for years. Traditional fixin’s and sides included in The Pit’s three-course meal never disappoint, including the cranberry chutney and sweet potato casserole. $60 per person for adults, $24 for kids 12 and under. Get the whole thing (or even just a few sides) to-go for your Thanksgiving meal. Just be sure to order by Friday, Nov. 17. See the menu here. 328 W. Davie St.

  • Pre-order your whole Thanksgiving meal from Weaver Street Grocery. From all-natural turkeys to the homemade gravy, Weaver Street makes it all and more (cranberry butter, anyone?). Orders need to be placed by Sunday, Nov. 19. 404 W. Hargett St.

  • Desserts from Lucette Grace. Your guests will take one look at the box and know you’ve splurged on the good stuff. Choose from Bourbon Pecan Pie, a Chocolate Hazelnut Torte or Tarte au Sucre (also known as French Canadian Sugar Pie). They also have two quiche options that are perfect to fuel up for Black Friday shopping. Online ordering opens today (Nov. 1) so what are you waiting for? 235 S. Salisbury St.

  • Sure Sullivan’s Steakhouse is known for its steaks but their three-course Thanksgiving meal has all your favorites covered, including many of the sides Sullivan’s does best. The prix-fixe meal for adults cost is $49 and kids 12 and under are $24. 419 Glenwood Ave.

  • Plates is again offering dine-in or take out Thanksgiving meals. Their three-course sit-down Thanksgiving dinner has all the classics with some sweet surprise desserts, including waffle bread pudding and sticky toffee pudding. $69 a person. To-go packages for six to eight people are $195. Deadline to order is Monday, Nov. 20.  Find out more here. 301 Glenwood Ave.

  • Have a last-minute dessert need? Pick up your choice of traditional Thanksgiving pies from The Mecca. 13 E. Martin St.
