Must-See Live Music This Week

Buckle up, downtown Raleigh. The week of music is upon us, thank you very much Hopscotch Music Festival. From the Pour House to Red Hat Amphitheater and everywhere in between throughout downtown, you’ll find live music this week. Here are a few of the shows we’re looking forward to tonight through Sunday. (For the full Hopscotch schedule, go here.   • Wednesday, Sept. 4: 

    • Falling In Reverse - The Popular Mons TOUR II: World Domination. Red Hat Amphitheater. Doors open at 5:45 p.m.

  • Thursday, Sept. 5: 

    • Hopscotch Music Festival kicks off at Moore Square and City Plaza with day parties and shows into the night all over downtown, including Waxahatchee at City Plaza at 9:30 p.m. See full list here

    • Dunlow at Raleigh Times Bar 7-10 p.m.

  • Friday, Sept. 6: 

    • Hopscotch continues at Moore Square and City Plaza with more shows and day parties all over downtown, including Faye Webster at City Plaza at 9:30 p.m.

    • Thick As Thieves at Green Monkey from 6-8 p.m.

    • Justin Moore & Randy Houser - The Country Round Here Tonight Tour at Red Hat Amphitheater, 7 p.m.

    • First Friday @ The Raleigh Times Bar. Live music by D. Shawn (and shopping at the First Friday Market) 7-11 p.m.

  • Saturday, Sept. 7:

    • Totscotch – music and music activities for kids at Marbles Kids Museum. 10 a.m.- 1 p.m.

    • More Hopscotch Music Festival at Moore Square & City Plaza and throughout downtown, including St. Vincent in City Plaza at 9:30 p.m.

  • Sunday, Sept 8:

    • No Fear and Blues Long Gone: Nina Simone at Fletcher Opera Theater, 2 p.m. The show runs all weekend but with everything else going on, this might be a great way to end the busy weekend!

    • Day Hangs II: Live music at Landmark Tavern with an outdoor market and food truck from 1:30-7 p.m.
