Party in the DTR
Looking for the perfect spot for an upcoming birthday party? Whether you want to take care of all the party details or have someone else do it all for you, there are plenty of options in downtown Raleigh. Here are a few of our favorite spots:
Joy Worthy Co.: If you love a hands-on, crafty party, turn to Joy Worthy for a birthday bash everyone will remember. This creative space in downtown Raleigh can host your party, entertaining guests with classes on anything from making jewelry to making perfumes. 131 S. Wilmington St.
Original Selfie Museum: Tucked underground in the Efird’s Building on Fayetteville Street, you’ll find downtown’s only selfie museum, the perfect party place for teens and adults alike for an interactive party experience. Check out the museum’s group rate, special deals and gifts for kids events. 208 Fayetteville St.
The Tower Escapes: This escape room takes it to the next level purely because of its cool location in downtown Raleigh’s old water tower built in 1887. Once you solve all the puzzles, you and your crew are within walking distance to more than a dozen downtown restaurants and bars to keep the party going. 115 W. Morgan St.
The Glass Box: If you want total control in an intimate gathering space that’s bright and chic, the Glass Box is it. Hidden five stories above Fayetteville Street, this private event space with some of the best views of downtown Raleigh is filled with glass and light. Hire a caterer or bring your own food! 230 Fayetteville St., 5th Floor
Marbles Kids Museum: Kids, of course, love this popular play space for birthday parties, but did you know adults can rent all or part of the space for parties too, including the IMAX Theatre? Host a movie-themed bash in the surround-sound theater that seats up to 275 of your closest friends. (Pro tip: be sure to rent the on-site ICEE machine, too) 201 E. Hargett St.
