Wellness and Self-Care Options in DTR

It’s time to put down the work for a bit, and do a little self check in. We’ve collected a list of our favorite wellness options in downtown Raleigh. The middle of the week is a perfect time for some self-care, whatever that means for you. Let’s dive in:

For the Breath and Body

  • Dix Park yoga classes offer both refreshment and grounding. Put a class on your calendar if you know you have a busy week ahead. Break up with some of that stress you carry, and breathe in the fall air in a nature oasis, just outside of the city.

  • YOGA SOUL•LEC•TIVE is a lovely studio located right by Nash Square Park. They offer yoga for all levels with an intimate view of the city. Choices for classes include breath, movement (yoga), and meditation.

  • Check out Raleigh local LeeAnn Salvatore Anderson, who offers a touching sound healing experience among other centering practices. “Sound healing works primarily through the principles of entrainment and resonant frequency. Entrainment is the natural process of a rhythmic pattern, which induces other organisms to fall into the same rhythm. Allow me to help you reconnect to your vitality and live in a state of balance and well-being.” -LeeAnn

  • 110 Hot Yoga on Blount Street is a great option if you’re looking for a sweat-it-out, detox situation!

Just a Little Treat

  • Go pet some puppies, it’s a win-win for all. The SPCA is a 10-minute drive from DTR.

  • Grabbing a journal and heading to The Morning Times for half an hour is a great way to unwind. They are featuring a Black Sesame Vanilla Latte right now, and the cozy nook upstairs is your new happy place.

  • For a quick manicure, a visit to Joja Nails followed by an inspiring browse through the collectables at Father and Son’s Vintage is always a good time. Top it off with some banana pudding or chocolate cake at The Pit

For Those Who Seek Royal Treatment

  • If you’re looking for a fresh ‘do or a quality blow-out, Alter Ego on Hargett Street is your place. They specialize in funky cuts and colors- so go wild!

  • Hightide Salon is a boutique nail and hair spa located in the Warehouse District. Their stylists work independently, so you’ll have to book online in advance. Manicures, pedicures, and a variety of hair and spa services, all served with a cold glass of wine

  • Venturing a little further from the heart of DTR, Restore Hyper Wellness in Village District has great cryotherapy, IV drips, red light therapy, an infrared sauna, all the works. Also in Village District you will find Lorena Luca Skin and Spa, which has amazing facial and massage treatments

Anytime, Anywhere, At No Cost

Head to Moore Square with a yoga mat or a blanket, and check out some of these options for free, remote wellness sessions (or find another video that suits you best!).
