Giving back in downtown Raleigh is easier than you might think, with a number of organizations and agencies looking for kind, compassionate volunteers to lend a hand. Here are a few of our favorite non-profits looking for an extra set of hands:
A Place at the Table – There are two ways to get involved and give back at this popular downtown Raleigh cafe, whose mission is to make sure no one misses a meal, whether you can pay or not. Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC – If any agency “gets” volunteering in Raleigh, it’s the Food Bank, which is the perfect place for big groups that want to give back and do a little bonding while they’re at it. Sort potatoes, carrots, collards – whatever the Food Bank receives in the warehouse, and bag them up for distribution for those facing food hunger throughout the region.
